Lawn renovation day.

The grass here has been suffering due to lots of use and basically no irrigation for the past 3 years. At one end, a past attempt to make a medicinal plant bed just turned into lush but neglected grass, bordered by stones that were easy to trip on. The hole dug last year to install the irrigation valves further added to the irregularity.

We gave up on half of the medicinal bed, removed the stones, mowed the tall grass areas, and leveled the area as much as possible. After scarifying the soil, we overseeded with a drought resistant grass seed mix. Topped up the bare areas with coffee grounds as fertilizer and the grass clippings as mulch. Now that it has irrigation, we'll cordon it off for a couple weeks so that it can germinate and get a good start.
