We found an old typewriter. It is a delight for the kids, who can write without handwriting and explore a new machine. Without screens. It will not last long, unfortunately, but they will then be able to open it up and see how it works.

All ducks got their flight feathers clipped on one side today. We were hoping to not have to do it, but more and more often they’d land outside of their enclosed grazing strip – where tender trees, trains, and potential predators are.
