The debate about using only native plants in our gardens might be strong but both the local sage leaf rock rose (estevinha) and the cabbage flowers are being visited by bees and butterflies.

We moved the geese to our greenhouse to provide shelter overnight. Their coop is not ready yet and it’s a bit to cold for them, without their feathers.Hopefully, it will provide a good enough predator protection as well

Planted climbing strawberry plants.The other varieties seem to do to well but the woodlouse tend to devour the fruits before we get to them.Perhaps this will work better.In any case they add some variety to the garden.

These are growing so strong.We pruned them a little for chop and drop and refreshing some of the plants.Sooner or later, we will learn more – and try – to use them to make fibers with them.
