Our turkey raising enterprise is over (for now) as of yesterday

Our turkey raising enterprise is over (for now) as of yesterday.

The female turkey had been sitting on a clutch of eggs for over 5 weeks and nothing was happening. We checked a couple, and they weren't fertilized. It's unclear if there was something wrong with the male or he was too inexperienced - either way, we already ate him a couple weeks ago.

After sitting for so long and barely eating, the female was just 2kg dressed weight. It'll still make a tasty meal 😋
